Lachlan Catchment Management Authority
www.lachlan.cma.nsw.gov.auThe Lachlan CMA recognises that long term natural resource management changes can only be achieved through dynamic and sustainable communities. We aim to empower and engage the community by encouraging involvement and collaboration at each stage of the project management process, from planning to implementation. The primary goal of the Lachlan CMA is to inform, consult, raise awareness, transfer information, engage and educate the broader community. The Lachlan CMA has ten decentralised office locations to ensure that it has skilled and resourced staff located in the communities which we service. Staff members have a broad range of knowledge and skills in regards to the management of natural resource issues. They undertake a number of functions within the Lachlan CMA. Staff provide extension services, which include site visits, providing technical and general information, providing options and supporting people as they make significant changes to their land management practices. Our staff also provide community support, hosting and organising field days.
