Teach For America established the St. Louis region in 2002 in light of an urgent need to improve the quality of life and education for children growing up in the city. Years into the work of supporting our city's most underserved counties, Teach For America St. Louis now allocates resources to engage educators in districts in north county like Normandy and Riverview Gardens, partnering with schools and communities more broadly in support of all children in our region. The story continues in St. Louis through a growing population of alumni and a legacy of regional leadership that is still visible in Teach For America offices and classrooms today. That’s because St. Louis is home. Moved by the passion and potential of this place, we have built our lives here, met partners here, started families here, established businesses here, and continue to pour our hearts into the students and families alongside whom we live and work.
