The 2nd edition of the Programme will commence in September 2020 with the deadline to apply June 20, 2020. FIFA (The World’s Governing Football body) and CIES (The International Centre for Sports Studies) has collaborated with Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Group of Institutions based out of Mumbai to launch their prestigious Executive Programme in Sports Management exclusively in India and the rest of South and East Asia. This Executive Programme is currently conducted in 15 different countries across the world and FIFA felt that it was important that India should be the next country to adopt it because of the tremendous rise of the sports industry in Asia. The FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management is a part-time executive diploma programme best suited to mid-level and senior professionals in the field of sports who are seeking to enhance and enrich their professional skill set. It is also meant for young graduates who can demonstrate a passion for sports and would like to pursue a career in the field of sports management. The entire curriculum has been designed by FIFA/CIES and will be adapted to India’s emerging needs and sporting history. The six modules covered in the Programme will be delivered by academicians and sports professionals from the industry including international experts from the sporting field, giving the programme a very rich and practical perspective. The Programme will be conducted between September 2019 and March 2020 with “FOUR BLOCKS” of contact classes. This means participants are required to attend classes at Pillai in Navi Mumbai for a block of eight (8) days (Sunday to Sunday) at three different times in 2019-2020 and a fourth block of five days in March 2020.
