Value Added Logistics are strategically very important for the Flanders region. The logistics industry in Flanders needs (1) open innovations to strengthen their competitive ability, (2) sustainable growth and development for the future, (3) a positive image to attain talent and resources and (4) focused education for challenging jobs. It’s these insights that made 3 partners get together in 2012 to start the LITC: the Nike European Logistics Campus, the Thomas More University and the KU Leuven University. LITC stands for Logistics Innovation and Training Center and has three goals: to be an inspiring meeting place for the logistics industry, to promote best practices in innovative, sustainable logistics and to attract talent to logistics education and professions.
