The Norwegian Energy and Environment Consortium (NEEC) was established in 2005 and is organized as a multi-client project. The consortium is operated by Innovation Norway on behalf of its members. China's rapid economic development has led to an increase in the country's energy demand and consumption. As the largest CO2 emitter in the world, China needs to adopt environmentally friendly solutions to fight the pollution and secure a sustainable development. As a pioneer within renewable energy and environmental technology, Norway is a natural collaborating partner for China in the field of clean energy and environmental protection industry.
