Pharmaceutical medicine is a medical specialty concerned with the discovery, development, evaluation, licensing and monitoring of medicines and the medical aspects of their marketing. The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom is a charity and professional membership organisation with approximately 1,600 members. Members are practicing or retired pharmaceutical physicians or those with a professional interest in the specialty. FPM, along with its members, works to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine for the benefit of the public.
