Associated Industries Limited (AIL) is one of Pakistan’s leading Ghee manufacturing units located at Nowshera, KPK. AIL was originally established in 1960 and acquired by IMGC in 1992 through privatization process. The annual operational capacity of the plant is 75,000 MT Edible Oil and 6000 MT of Soap and Detergents. In 1992, IMGC management launched its brand with Brand Name “SHAMA” Ghee & Cooking Oil as its premium product. The brand became an instant success. At present, the market share of “SHAMA”in KPK in general (including unrefined / unprocessed brand) is 20% while AIL has captured more than 90% share in premium brand (excluding unrefined /unprocessed brand). AIL conforms to the highest standard of quality through stringent quality assurance procedures and have been maintaining following international certifi¬cations. AIL is focusing on increasing the soap production capacity as current demand of Quality Soap and Detergents has far exceeded the production hence the plant is being upgraded to meet the requirements of its consumers.
