AC Chemical Systems is developing a reversible electrolyser, using unique patented technology. A single unit can produce hydrogen in electrolyser mode at high pressure and produce electricity with hydrogen fuel in fuel cell mode. The commercial goal is to provide CO2-free hydrogen primarily for the grid power to gas market, but also for the hydrogen-driven transport market. Stored or grid hydrogen can also power the device in gas to power mode to provide electricity when needed.
