Kytos SDN Platform
www.kytos.ioKytos is an open source SDN platform under the MIT license focused on stressing WAN for data-intensive science, as well as addressing LAN problems. Kytos was born at the Center for Scientific Computing of UNESP (State University of São Paulo), which hosts SPRACE (a tier-2 partner of the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid, coordinated by CERN - the European Organization for Nuclear Research). Our mission is to solve network problems that stem from high performance research institutions, and address 'real world' problems, such as WAN circuit provisioning, network visibility and maintenance, better algorithms for bottleneck detection and network usage, among others. Kytos’ flexibility allows third-parties to build on top of its core platform with custom Network Applications (NApps), as well as use our growing NApps repository, taking advantage of the community power to reuse code. We are currently seeking partners and contributors to support and help us build Kytos' future.
