Natchez Little Theatre (NLT) is Mississippi's oldest volunteer community theatre and was established in 1932. We are a non-profit organization that produces a minimum of 8 productions and over 100 performances a season for an audience of over 23,000 annually. Our audience is international as we are located in the oldest settlement on the Mississippi River, Natchez, Mississippi, an international tourist destination, that will celebrate its 300th birthday in 2016. Natchez Little Theatre produces musicals, comedies, tragedies, mysteries, musicals, Shakespeare, Pulitzer and Tony award winning plays, as well as original productions. Located in southwest Mississippi, Natchez Little Theatre has used the performing arts to bring the diverse population of Natchez together through artistic endeavor and performance. NLT has been recognized and awarded grants by the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and is a member of the American Association of Community Theatre and the Mississippi Theatre Association. NLT has been named the #1 Tourist destination in Natchez by the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce and is active in assisting casting directors searching for actors for films being shot throughout the South. NLT produces workshops throughout the year for at risk youth as well as adults and is active throughout the region in educational outreach, civic and other non-profit organizations.
