The Electron Microscopy Suite at the Open University has the capability to analyse everything from brain tissue to rocks or paints. In addition to offering services in transmission and scanning electron microscopy, the OU EM Suite team are world leaders in 3D reconstruction electron microscopy. The pioneering new technique is already being used in medical research to shed light on cognitive disabilities such as those in Down syndrome. The EM Suite along with the expertise of our dedicated electron microscopy team provides a world class service which is available for use by researchers and industry.
