PSMotion develops software for machine design engineers, most typically in the Packaging, Textile, and Assembly machine sectors. MechDesigner can model multi-axis machines. MechDesigner will simulate the complete machine, with many mechanisms, motions, and material interactions. Each axis can include gears, racks, pulleys, chains, cams, and/or servos. You can graph and export all kinematic data, joint forces, as well as the motion and torque required of servo-motors. 2D Cams (Plate, Groove, Conjugate, Slot, ...) and 3D Cams (Globoidal, Barrel, ...) can be added to any machine part, including the machine frame. The cams can be exported as STEP, DXF, XYZ points, or Bi-arcs. The cam-data can also be exported directly SOLIDWORKS. Inverse-Kinematics can be included throughout. There is a motion-design tool that is intuitive to use, with a complete set of 'standard' motion laws, as well as motion laws applicable to motion design for high-speed machines. You can import your own motion laws of course. You can watch the model cycling again and again, or micro-jog it at critical points in the machine cycle. There are many tools to help you analyze, scrutinize and optimize the model. so that you can get the most from designs.
