Mayatan Bilingual School is a non-profit, Pre-K through 12th-grade bilingual school serving students in and around the town of Copán Ruinas from mixed social and economic backgrounds. Mayatan Bilingual School is dedicated to providing a diverse population of students with the best bilingual education possible to allow them to become active, responsible, and informed participants in their local, national, and global communities. Our teachers and staff are committed to creating a supportive environment that responds to and challenges all students, regardless of ethnicity, religion, language, culture, or socio-economic status. We strongly believe that, by fostering an environment that values creativity, respect integrity, collaboration, and a sense of fairness and justice, we are guiding our students towards becoming leaders who bridge cultures and unite communities through their bilingual communication skills and their increased cultural, social, and environmental awareness.
