Anjali House is an NGO based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The organisation provides education, basic care, healthcare and family support to 120 students from 5 to 19 years old. All the children and young adults enrolled at Anjali House come from impoverished families who can’t afford the cost of education and most of the time can only provide a meal a day. At Anjali house we believe that no child should be forced to beg or work. We believe that they have the right to enjoy their childhood – to learn, play, make friends and grow in a safe and happy environment. These are basic rights that no child should be denied. It is a locally run organisation. Its Director is Cambodian as well as are all the teachers and the social worker. Reliable and transparent, the NGO has been implementing educational activities for the past 10 years, runs an independent yearly audit of ist finances and publishes an annual report on its website. Anjali House ultimate goal is to see its students develop into healthy, well-adjusted young adults, equipped with the skills and support they need to enter the workforce and be successful in their future endeavours.
