AERIAL MONITORING HPI has more than five years of experience in running aerial monitoring missions in the Central Mediterranean, aimed at documenting and helping end the humanitarian crisis unfolding there. We have conducted multi-aircraft operations in challenging airspaces with high military activity, hundreds of miles from the next shore, on a constant lookout for shipwrecks, bodies and survivors. We are looking forward to transferring this expertise gained under adverse conditions to any aerial monitoring task at hand, such as aerial photography, natural disaster documentation, wildlife monitoring, maritime patrol, or searching for bush fires. SVAS DROP SYSTEM HPI has pioneered the Super Versatile Airdrop System (SVAS - formerly "AERU") which allows humanitarian goods such as food, water treatment supplies, or medical items to be dropped using recycled emergency parachutes. The system enables a large volume (payload 30-180 kg) of relief supplies to be deposited precisely and efficiently in areas that are difficult to reach. A modular concept allows the system to be compatible with various airplanes, therefore enhancing the flexibility of use worldwide. Our innovative system is highly simplified and can be operated by a crew after only a few days of training. When other means of transportation are impossible, airdrops are the only way to reach people. HPI wants to offer this specific service first and foremost to small, local humanitarian organisations that themselves cannot afford to develop such a capable system. CIVIL AVIATION NETWORK To provide fast and efficient help during times of disaster, an international network of pilots who can quickly access airplanes in order to monitor the situation or provide assistance by air is vital. If you want to join up either as a pilot or an aircraft owner, contact us at can@hpi.swiss
