Today, more than 75 million young adults are out of work, and three times as many are underemployed. At the same time, 40% of employers say a skills shortage is leaving them with entry-level vacancies. Generation is a youth employment nonprofit with a dual mission to empower young people to build thriving, sustainable careers and to provide employers the highly skilled, motivated talent they need. Generation was founded by McKinsey & Company in 2014, and is supported by a range of funders including McKinsey & Company, Walmart, and USAID. Generation Pakistan is registered as Foundation for Youth Employment Pakistan, a non-profit organization registered under Section 42 of the Companies Act in 2019 as a licensee of Generation: You Employed. Till date, we have recruited, trained and placed 250+ learners and currently operate 3 centers, with outreach in 32 cities of Pakistan. We are currently present in 2 sectors: Retail and Microfinance.
