www.rccl.org.auThe Rotary Club of Central Launceston is located right in the heart of Launceston. With a growing membership of over 55 Rotarians, this service club has supported many local organisations and charities as well as other local and worldwide Rotary causes. The Rotary Club of Central Launceston was chartered in 1983 and is now one of the largest memberships in Tasmania, raising over $1.8m for local and global initiatives. Rotary is a not-for-profit service organisation and our members commit to the ideals of Service Above Self. We have lunch each Monday with a lineup of engaging speakers from all walks of life. Our 36th and current president is Jodie Lowe. Our main events include Circus Quirkus which this year raised funds for a sensory playground at St Giles, as well as Sally’s Ride and the Tamar Valley Cycle Challenge raising funds for local mental health initiatives. Our commitment to inclusion, health and education includes the Ravenswood Heights Primary School including breakfast club and reading programs and meals on wheels services. We are people of action. We connect with each other and with our community. We seek to inspire and be inspired, learn and teach and put service above self.
