Hark is an initiative taken by two teenagers who are concerned about today’s mental healthcare system. Even in such a rapidly developing and modern world, enough importance isn’t given to mental healthcare, and we intend to change this through our initiative. Being teenagers ourselves, we understand how lack of mental awareness can affect everything from our academic to social life. We also know that despite several facilities like school counselors, teenagers aren’t understood as well as they should be. Most importantly, we understand the importance of just listening. Sometimes, it isn’t about getting advice from someone about what to do and how to cope with issues like anxiety. It’s about just having someone who listens, someone who sets aside their values and judgments, which is what we do. We want to create a platform for teenagers where all we do is listen, which is also why we call ourselves Hark. We want to help by being a good ear, and interacting with you as a friend more than an enterprise.
