"I grew up in Sweden but moved to New York 1985 and my first memories where touring my grandfathers buildings picking up candy wrappers in the lobbies and helping him to unclog toilets for his beloved tenants". As the Partridge Empire grew Steffan had taken part in managing, developing, selling and leasing properties in and around Astoria and Long Island City. In 2007 He joined the most successful Corcoran team cornering the new development market in western Queens which naturally lead to him opening up a sister office to Partridge Realty for the newly emerging market in Dutch Kills and southern Astoria.
