Individuals who desire to adopt Labrador Retrievers who might otherwise be abandoned or euthanized by their previous owners. Through education (booths at dog shows, newsletters, internet information pages, etc.) we seek to reduce the unwanted dog population and increase responsible pet ownership. How Labrador Rescue and Placement Services Work What is Lab Rescue? The Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. (GGLRR) provides assistance in placing Labradors directly from the current owner to a new owner without the dog having to go into a shelter. Our program doesn’t eliminate shelters, but we attempt to keep as many Labradors in the home environment as possible. Our program is run completely by volunteers. No one within our organization is paid for their time and/or services. The money we receive goes exclusively to our dogs that we rescue. The only exception would be the small amount we spend on our newsletter that we send to our supporters.
