www.steenbergs.co.ukSteenbergs was set up in 2003 and is still run by Axel and Sophie Steenberg. Steenbergs specialises in organic spices, loose leaf teas, stuffings and baking ingredients company based in rural North Yorkshire. B Corp certified. Steenbergs source, blend and creating their spice and tea blends at their purpose built factory in North Yorkshire. With a wide range of products including over 400 spices, dried herbs and blends (including curry mixes and arabic / middle eastern spice blends), loose leaf tea, and baking extracts. Steenbergs loose tea is available in boxes (with compostable plastic free film inside), distinctive black tea caddies or in bulk bags for either personal use, cafes or restaurants. Products are designed for retail environment, bright distinctive practical packaging. We have something for every type of cook, easy salt mixes to throw over simple suppers to hard to find spices such as sumac, long pepper and tonka beans. We are passionate about what we do and love creating new products. We source direct from producers and started the business in 2003. If that wasn't enough we are passionate about the environment and our impact on it. We have invested in solar panels, a living roof, electric car, LED lights and a wood in Wales. We have been committed about minimising our impact from the get go in 2003 and have long use plastic free packaging that is both practical and recyclable. Even the tape we use has been paper - plastic free - for over a decade, as has our "plastic free bubble wrap". As part of this commitment to the wider world we are now B-Corp certified. In 2017 Steenbergs bought the mulling wine business - Old Hamlet Wine and Spice which specialises in spice mixes for hamper companies, gift shops and marketing campaigns.
