Cofounded by the brother - sister duo, Shipra Nayyar and Vishesh Nayyar, Özel's philosophy is based on design with social impact. Özel provides vocational training and employment to underprivileged women and craftsmen of India. With features in The Hindu, The Indian Express and with endorsements from celebrities like Taapsee Pannu and Vidya Balan, Özel has grown from a one room workshop to a flourishing business supporting many livelihoods. Özel won the Pink Power Contest for Women Entrepreneurs organized by Inorbit Malls in 2018 which started our retail journey and lead to opening up of the first retail kiosk at Inorbit Mall, Hyderabad.
