The Lighthouse Retreat Inc., is a private corporation operating in Ajax Ontario. It was incorporated in 2013. We provide a range of services for Seniors and New Moms within Ajax and the surrounding cities. The Lighthouse Retreat Inc. provides a quality experience and maintains the dignity and independence of the people we work with. Our mission is to deliver safe, high quality services which will stimulate the mind, body and spirit to improve wellness. Seniors Day Program Seniors in Ajax and the surrounding community now have a place to socialize with their cohorts and be stimulated in mind, body and spirit. The program is facilitated by qualified staff including PSWs. Seniors participate in multiple activities daily including but not limited to: Bingo, Crafts, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Physio Therapy, Physical Activity, Brain Stimulating Activities, and more. 24 Hrs Home Care Each client is assessed by a Registered Nurse and a care plan is designed to meet the needs of the individual. A PSW will be assigned to meet the care needs of the individual. Personal Support Workers (PSW's) provide care in your home, hospital, nursing home, or wherever the services are needed. Services include but are not limited to: grooming, dressing, bathing, transferring in and out of bed, bed care, medication compliance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship and more. New Mom's Postpartum Services Registered Nurses and trained PSW will provide in home support to prenatal and postpartum mothers and their children which increases the parent child connection and can reduce the risk of postpartum depression.
