We promote the Preservation and Enjoyment of Australian Native Bees. Our website, Aussie Bee, provides information, photographs and videos about the 1,500 species of native bees found in Australia. Our tiny black stingless native bees live in social colonies and produce delicious tangy honey. Our hundreds of species of solitary native bees, such as the blue banded bees, carpenter bees and leafcutter bees, can be excellent pollinators. Australian blue banded bees are currently being developed as pollinators of greenhouse tomatoes.
