The Sri Lankan Business Council in Dubai & Northern Emirates was formed in the year 1991 under the umbrella of the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Dubai. Later it evolved into a registered Business Council under the auspices of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the year 2004. SLBC has grown into an organisation consisting of Sri Lankan Entrepreneurs and Senior Professionals in the UAE as its Individual Members and a number of organisations interested in Sri Lankan business as its Corporate Members.
