Tufts Women in Computer Science (WiCS)
wicstufts.wixsite.comTufts Women in Computer Science (WiCS) is a student-run club whose goal is to provide a space to connect and support women and femme non-binary people studying Computer Science at Tufts. WiCS was established in 2005 by Elena Jakubiak, who is currently a Principal Software Engineer at iRobot. The club experienced some inactive years until Winnona De Sombre and Alice Lee re-formulated WiCS and created our current structure in 2015. Ever since, WiCS has been growing through our different opportunities for students to network (Clusters and the Mentorship Program), on-campus events (Lunch and Learns, Tech Talks, Workshops, and Social Events), and our annual Women in Tech Conference.
