The UN Association of Finland is a Non-Governmental Organization that promotes and supports the actions and principles of the United Nations. UNA Finland was founded in 1954. The Association provides education and educational material regarding global responsibility and advocacy work, delivers and produces news items relating to the UN, and influences Finnish UN policy. The United Nations is the world's largest peace organization founded by international treaty (The UN Charter) which aims to advance the causes security, human rights, and development in various ways. The UN Association of Finland supports this goal though its own information sharing, education, and advocacy work. UNA Finland is supported by member and municipal organizations, of which there are over sixty.
