Mission Ballroom Dance Chicago is a spritely and modern dance studio aimed at offering exceptional dance instruction that is personalized to each dancer’s desires and needs. We see ourselves as partners with our students, working one-on-one to have fun and become the best dance partners we can be. Our goal is to grow as dancers and teachers and to constantly elevate our standards of customer service and instruction, all while maintaining a sense of wit and playfulness. Teaching Philosophy In our dance lessons, we focus on the fun and playful interaction between partners on the dance floor. This isn’t serious folks, it’s dancing! And learning to dance is not about suffering through steps and patterns; learning to dance is about learning how to move in sync with another person. In essence, a dance is a sophisticated mirroring game made simpler by our roles as leaders and followers. When each partner knows his / her role, both can feel confident and comfortable dancing at any occasion. Our Lessons In our private lessons, you receive full attention and personalized instruction from our staff. Whether you want to learn a choreographed first dance for a wedding or basic steps and patterns for social, we will design the lessons based on your needs, dance experience, learning styles and tastes. Your teacher will also give you detailed instruction and help you develop the skills you need to feel confident on the dance floor.
