Swedish Workplace Programme
www.swpglobal.orgSwedish Workplace Programme enables dialogue between management and employees to improve workplace relations and contribute to sustainable business. The programme is funded by SIDA to support increased sustainability in workplaces in four regions in the world. The goal is that this approach can be used by any company that wants to improve their sustainability from policy to practice or vice versa. The workplace is the best place for improving sustainable business. The engagement level will increase by having a structure where employees and management can have a dialogue where they set common goals and identify challenges. SWP supports, trains and develops that structure in workplace committees as a platform for engagement, dialogue and change at the workplace. The company own the initiative and gets support from SWP during the transition time during a period of 12-18 months. The programme is based on 14 years of implementing workplace programmes together with Swedish companies with global operations and unions at 600 workplaces. SWP is implemented in partnership between NIR, the International Council of Swedish Industry and the Metal and Industrial workers union IF Metall.
