Muthoot Healthcare is one of the principal divisions of The Muthoot Group. Muthoot healthcare had its origins in the small town of Kozhencherry in the heart of the South-Central part of Kerala, a region also known as Central Travancore, in 1988. The first hospital, Muthoot Medical Centre, Kozhencherry, opened its doors to the public in 1988. The hospital was founded by late Dr. George Kurien, MRCP, also the Founder Medical Director, with the vision of providing the very best healthcare to a rural community in a financially responsible manner. Today, Muthoot Healthcare division with three business units, Hospitals, Diagnostics, and Education. The division consists of two multi-speciality hospitals, state of the art cancer centre and an education unit with colleges and schools of nursing and allied health science and management college.
