Inspired Horizons is a non-governmental, non-profit making youth organization with a passion for youth development and skills building through innovative education and capacity building. The organization’s mandate shares a core interest in line with both Botswana’s Vision 2016 pillar 1 on ‘An educated, and informed nation’; Vision 2036 Pillar 2 on ‘Human Social Development’; and lastly, the Sustainable Development Goal 4 on ‘Quality Education’. Its purpose is to redefine the concept of academic ‘excellence’ in a way that advocates and encourages the development of well-rounded and passionate young leaders, while fostering tools that promote skills development. Mission Statement: To actively upskill and promote well-rounded and passionate young leaders. Vision: To achieve a culture of inclusive youth development. Objectives: • To improve the youths’ literacy skills through provision of necessary resources and facilities. • To help curb youth unemployment and foster a culture of entrepreneurship. • To assist in efforts of poverty eradication particularly in rural and/or isolated communities. • To support and partner with relevant stakeholders that are focused on the empowerment of the youth and their initiatives. • To have a successful research and development Centre that will be focusing on the improvement of the socio-economic statuses of the youth and their families. • Offer assistance and guidance to the skilled, yet not academically strong, young members of the community, on matters concerning life skills, and socio-economic empowerment.
