We have worked extensively with and have experience of the Apache, Cloudera and Hortonworks flavours of Hadoop. More recently, we have worked mainly on the Hortonworks platform (HDP), and we have trained and certified all of our personnel on HDP. As preferred partners of Hortonworks, we assist their customers to deploy HDP and also implement applications on HDP. Some of the work we have completed or we are presently working on is as follows: System Administration/Operations • Set-up and install Hadoop from scratch on a bare cluster to an operational level • Update older versions of Hadoop to the latest stable versions • Set-up and install Kerberos clusters • Integrate Hadoop with the Active Directory • Set-up Disaster Recovery (HDFSDR and HiveDR on a kerberized cluster over Falcon) Application Development • Design and develop a Multi-Screen Analytics Platform for the TV Division of a major Telco • Developed a “Next Product Purchase” solution for a major travel company • Architect and implement a Fraud Detection project for a major bank • Assist the deployment and integration of a Common Reporting Standard project for a major bank. Our teams have worked with all of the major components in the Hadoop ecosystem (i.e. HBase, Spark, Storm, Hive, Flume, Kafka, Falcon, Ranger, Know, Ambari, Map Reduce, etc.) and is familiar with the recent developments that have been released or are presently being developed.
