The association supports all efforts promoting economic relations, and has devoted itself to intensify cultural exchange between Germans and Arabs. The German-Arab Association was founded in 1966 as a non-Profit organization. Anyone who supports a lasting improvement of the relations between Europe and the Arab world qualifies for membership. Private persons as well as business entities can become members. The Arab countries are represented by their ambassadors in the DAG-Advisory Board. The Executive Committee includes representatives of the political parties, of industry and commerce, and of the scientific establishment.
