Roughrider Electric Cooperative is a non-profit electric utility distributing power to members in Billings, Dunn, Mercer, Oliver, Stark, and Golden Valley counties. Our offices are located in Hazen and Dickinson, ND. We currently serve more then 8,800 members and provide electricity to more than 14,700 meters. We are a cooperative owned by the members we serve and governed by an elected nine-member Board of Directors. Roughrider Electric purchases power through Upper Missouri Generation & Transmission Cooperative in Sidney, MT. Our power suppliers are Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Western Area Power Administration. We belong to the nationwide network of electric cooperatives known as Touchstone Energy.
