The Office of Innovation and Commercialization (OIC) is UNCW's technology transfer office (TTO). The OIC strives to offer an integrated, "one stop shopping" resource for faculty/staff/students, and the UNCW Research community as a whole. The OIC serves five general functions: -Management of intellectual property, patenting, and licensing decisions at UNCW -Assist with sales, marketing, and out-licensing of commercially-ready innovations (patentable or non-patentable) -Assist in finding the appropriate business solutions, conducting market assessment studies, providing referrals for incubator space, and providing various types of support including early stage financing -Assist with grant proposals that require a business component -Assist with screening agreements, collaborative agreements, material transfer agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
