Cyta Therapeutics, Inc. (Cyta) is a pre-clinical stage company developing therapeutics for obesity, NASH and other liver diseases. We are leveraging a novel polymer nanoparticle delivery platform that targets the liver, called IntelliGel, developed in the laboratory of Professor S. Thayumanavan at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. The company’s lead program is a therapeutic (CYTA-001) being developed for a first indication of obesity. CYTA-001 is an encapsulated potent thyromimetic which has shown significant weight loss in a Diet Induced obesity-NASH animal model. Cyta is building a pipeline based on its ability to delivery highly potent drug assets with increased safety and efficacy. We have raised seed funding and conducted research collaborations with pharma companies. Currently, Cyta is seeking to raise capital to bring its lead program into the clinic.
