Moretalk provides: - Specialist assessment of functional communication of identified vulnerable witnesses or defendants. Analyses, and reporting of communication abilities and adaptations and interventions (Special Measures) identified to assist this person to fully participate to the best of their ability within justice contexts. - Communication Assistance to the vulnerable person prior to (with meetings with all Justice Professionals) and during proceedings. - Monitoring attention and concentration, language comprehension and processing with intervention as agreed. - Interpretation of nonverbal communication (AAC) and unintelligible speech. Collaborative practice with Justice professionals in working with vulnerable witnesses and defendants. Ongoing development of tools, resources and practice models for the use of Communication Assistants in Judicial contexts in New Zealand
