Vandaya Jewellery
www.vandaya.comVandaya Jewellery was founded in 2017 by Amalie Marstrand and Nicklas Hein Johansson. From day one, their ambition has been to create an environmentally friendly jewellery brand with designs inspired by the ocean and nature. Both raised in Copenhagen, Denmark they were accustomed with the Scandinavian simplicity and minimalism that Danish design is known for. However, when travelling the world together they discovered new patterns and materials and met inspiring people, which all lead to the idea of combining the Nordic minimalism with colorful exotic detailing and patterns for their jewellery designs. Sustainability is a fundamental part of Vandaya. Our founders have been intrigued by the oceans and nature since a very young age and have later worked with ocean conservation and sustainable investments. Vandaya has since day 1 thrived to be a plastic free business, with minimal waste and ships 100% plastic-free. Vandaya has pledged to donate 3€ per sold piece of jewellery to coral reef restoration and ocean conservation. VANDAYA's commitment to protect our oceans is deeply rooted in our DNA. As a trained biologist, our co-founder and CEO Amalie Marstrand, has been engaged in marine conservation from a young age. While working in Fiji as a volunteer on a shark conservation project, Amalie experienced the dramatic changes of our oceans and coral reefs firsthand and from then on knew that she would be working with ocean conservation from then on. VANDAYA has from the beginning thrived to be an ocean friendly jewellery brand focussing on some of the biggest issues our oceans face today. It has been our goal from day one to make sure that we only have a positive impact on our oceans.
