Epilepsy Durham Region is dedicated to fostering a safe and healthy community by enhancing and supporting the well-being of individuals and families impacted by epilepsy or seizure disorders. We provide programs and services for youth, seniors, persons with a disability, caregivers, and disadvantaged community groups that are affected by epilepsy, as well as public education and awareness about this neurological disease to promote safety and inclusion. Epilepsy Durham Region offers customized, tailored support to strengthen clients’ ability to manage the physical, psychological, and social effects of epilepsy through education, assistance with system navigation, advocacy and one on one mentoring, as well as direct referral to community resources.
