SFGG Rugby was created in 2001 as old City sides San Francisco and Golden Gate Rugby merged. The Club has been based at its Treasure Island facility since 2005. The Senior men's Elite team plays in the Pacific Rugby Premiership; winning the Championship in 2014 and runners up in 2015.
