Iran Airtour was established in 1973 and started scheduled operations in the early 1990s . Beginning in the early 1990s and continuing into early 2010s, Iran Air Tours operated Soviet-made aircraft, primarily the Tupolev Tu-154M. Iran Airtour Airline has been transferred to private sector since 2011 with a new board of directors. After Iranian Tupolev Tu-154 aircraft was grounded in February 2011, Iran Airtour was faced with loss of its primary type. Now Iran Airtour operates five MD-80 series aircraft , four A300 , Two A310, one A320 .
