We produce results by: • Consultation/Workshops - prior/during design & construction phases to advise or offer direction in the approach of achieving an airtight building. • Airtightness testing - detailed inspections during the construction phase of new/refurb buildings, to verify that the airtightness target of the design is on the right track. Some companies may try to pressure test parts of a building during construction, but this is not very efficient, as it is a costly exercise and highlights leaks in parts of the building envelope internal to the building that does not impact the overall leakage rate when you conduct a whole test. If you have not built tight in the first place, making it tight after the fact is a very costly business. • Diagnostics - should the airtightness target not be met at the completion of the building, and the services(Not provided by Efficiency Matrix) provided on the job have not been successful in achieving a tight enough building for specification, Efficiency Matrix can come in and perform a detailed diagnostics utilising physical inspection and in some cases thermal imaging technology/theatrical smoke, to produce a report, highlighting remedial actions required.
