Issues: Berkeley Medical Journal

issues.berkeley.edu

ISSUES Berkeley Medical Journal is the University of California, Berkeley’s premier medical and health sciences undergraduate publication. An Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) sponsored student-run journal, our student-writers focus each semester on chronicling the recent developments in biomedical research, current issues in public health, and quandaries surfacing in contemporary medical practice. We hope our publication will entertain your minds, as well as, foster thought about critical social, scientific, and medical developments. ISSUES launched in the fall of 1993 with the generous support of the following people and groups: the ASUC, the Health and Medical Apprenticeship Program, the committee on student publications, Jonathan Brennan, Janine Bera, Andy Guo, Jannelle Lee, The Heuristic Squelch, and Dr. Peter Van Houten. Over the years ISSUES has refined its focus to include a wider selection of interesting topics for the readers to enjoy. ISSUES transitioned in 2003 from a newsletter format to its current journal format, and publishes online as of Fall 2011. ISSUES is always thankful for the contributions and support from the editors, students, guests, partners, and advisor.
