Teru is an artist collective of three photographers: Lesli Taihuttu, Jaïr Pattipeilohy and Atêf Sitanala. We are capturing - almost disappearing - tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the diaspora; untold stories of people through portraits and short documentaries; working with passion to tell stories what moves them; related to their personal heritage. Currently we are working on a traveling exhibition, Mahina - An ode women. A triptych consisting of facial portraits, theme portraits, and short documentaries. These tell the story of the past, present and most importantly the future of the Moluccan community as it relates to Dutch society. From 2016 to 2019 'Mahina - An ode to women' was seen at various locations throughout the Netherlands. Coming October 2021 the exhibition will be displayed at Moluks Historisch Museum in Sophiahof in The Hague. (the project is in the dutch language)
