Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, better know as ClassNK or simply NK is a Japanese Classification Society , its principle work is the survey of newbuildings, ship in service and offshore structure to ensure their compliance with our independently developed rules, as well as international conventions and the laws and regulations of flag administration. These surveys cover aspect of construction and operation, and are carried out throughout the life of the vessel. ClassNK has been authorized to provide surveys on behalf of more than 110 flag administrations, and registration with ClassNK is recognized by the world's leading maritime insurers, including the Institute of London Underwriters. ClassNK also provides auditing certification services in line with ISO, OHSAS and other international standards as well audits and registers material and equipment manufacturers and aftermarket service providers.
