For 60 years, the Centre for Rural Development (Seminar für Ländliche Entwicklung, SLE) has been engaged in international cooperation through academics, consultancy, and research. The services offered by the SLE include its graduate study programme, advanced training courses for international specialists in Berlin, and application-oriented research and advisory services for development organisations and universities. Both the SLE's many years of experience and its close connection to the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin contribute to the high academic standard of its approach and methods, the empirical rigour of its analyses, and the practical applicability of its consultory services.
