The Blurt Foundation

We are a social enterprise dedicated to helping those affected by depression. We really understand how devastating depression can be. Jobs come to an end, relationships break down and lives can be lost, all through the effect of depression. That’s why the work we do here at Blurt is so important – it not only changes lives, but saves them. We raise awareness, provide tools and knowledge to help proactive recovery and challenge the stigma that prevents people reaching out for support. We’ll help you understand depression and what it means for you. We’ll support you, listen to you and introduce you to people who’ve been where you are. We’ll help you break down barriers and broach the subject with those closest to you. We’ll help you help yourself, with a little knowing nod. We know that we can't do this this alone though, which is why we collaborate with some amazing organisations. Currently we're working with Intu, Rigorous Digital, Creightons Chocolate, and Coffee and Kin, to name a few. Previously we've worked with the BBC, Dr Martens, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, Reed, and Ubisoft. We're huge believers in the importance of self-care. In fact, we've written two books about it: The Self-Care Project and 365 Days of Self-Care. ----- Something we're incredibly excited about is The Blurt Peer Project. Supported by the Aviva Community Fund, the groundbreaking, peer-led project is focused on improving the mental health of young people aged 5-24, equipping them with essential tools to ultimately achieve happier, healthier and fulfilled lives. We're training students at our partner schools, colleges, and universities, to be mental health trailblazers, who'll go on to share ether learning with fellow students.
