This niche practice was founded by John Grogan in 2009, after 22 years as a partner in PKF (UK) LLP, the former top-ten national firm that became part of BDO LLP following a merger in 2013. The practice provides a range of bespoke hands-on services in the following areas: Expert witness services to the legal profession Forensic investigations Accounting and tax services to businesses and individuals Most of our expert witness instructions are in matrimonial or professional negligence cases. The firm is also regularly instucted in commercial disputes, personal injury cases and white collar crime prosecutions. We practise particularly in London and the North West, but receive instructions to act as expert witnesses from all parts of the UK. John Grogan has a particular reputation as an accountancy expert and adviser in matrimonial cases. He is an affiliate member of Resolution. He is in close contact with the collaborative movement, and in November 2008 became one of the first handful of accountants in the country to complete Resolution's collaborative training for financial experts. John lectures regularly to family law conferences and private audiences of family lawyers on accountancy and tax issues in financial remedy cases.
