"Kruti Coffee" is social enterprise established by three medical professionals in 2013 to impact coffee growers of Koraput in Odisha, primarily tribal and organic coffee growers of Koraput. The enterprise is based on C K Prahlad’s “Fortune at the bottom of the pyramid” model, which is incubating various impact models to make coffee grown in Koraput, sustainable for the producers and everyone else involved in the entire value chain. Kruti Coffee’s success as an impact model can be primarily attributed to our three farm partners: 1. Kindiriguda (A farm owned and entirely maintained by tribal villagers of Kindiriguda in Koraput, Odisha). This association by Kruti Coffee is reviving potentially 60 acres of coffee farms which can support livelihood needs of 30 tribal families 2. Koraput Organic (An Organic Farm producing coffee, black pepper, mango, rice, ginger and turmeric that is certified Organic by USDA & EU) 3. Brown Valley (One of the first professional commercial coffee plantation in Koraput, Odisha that provides employment to local tribal across the value chain) Kruti Coffee has also started a retail chain of coffee houses in India to create magical coffee drinks from Arabica coffee grown in Koraput.
