The Courage Center (TCC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit headquartered in Lexington, South Carolina. TCC is the first Recovery Community Organization in the Midlands of South Carolina to focus on adolescents ages 14-18, young adults ages 19-26, and their families. TCC provides one-on-one recovery coaching and peer support services at no cost to participants. The Center offers weekly family support meetings as well as bi-weekly recreation nights for youth and young adults. Addiction is a chronic brain disease, not a moral weakness, but shame can reduce the willingness of individuals to seek help. TCC provides support for efforts that reduce the stigma associated with substance misuse and addiction with our #CourageOverStigma campaign.
